Nandu Soup / Crab Soup - Nandu Rasam Recipe
Cooking Time : 20 mins
Ingredients :
- Crab / nandu - 1/2 kg
- Coriander leaves - 1/4 cup
- Curry leaves - 1/4 cup
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil - 1.5 tsp
For Grinding:
- Tomato - 2 medium size
- Pepper corns - 1.5 tbsp
- Jeera - 1 tbsp
- Shallots - 10 - 15
- Curry leaves - 10
- Fennel seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
- Coriander seeds - 1 tsp
- Garlic cloves - 3
Method :
- In a blender grind everything giver under " for grinding" in a semi fine paste and sat aside.
- Marinate the crab with turmeric powder for 20 mins.
- Break the leg pieces using a pestle or cleaned stone and set aside.
- Heat oil in a pan, add the crushed crab leg pieces and masals paste with 5 cups of water.
- Add enough salt and mix everything.let it boil for 10 - 15 mins and cover with the lid.
- Then add the fresh curry leaves and chopped coriander leaves and boil for amother 5 mins.
- Once soup cooked Turn off the flame and serve hot.
- You can store this soup for 2 - 3 days in refrigerator.before serving re-heat the soup and enjoy.
