Dry fish Recipe/ Karuvaddu thokku

     South Indian most famous delicious recipe  Nethili Meen /Anchovies dry fish Curry. It is very easy to prepare, with very less ingredients.

Karuvaddu Thokku

Ingredients :


  1. Nethili Karavadu                - 9 to 10 pcs
  2. Onion                               -2 ( Medium size)
  3. Tomato                            -1 
  4. Green chilly                       -1
  5. Garlic                               - 4 to 5 ( crushed)
  6. Turmeric                          - 1/2 tsp
  7. Chilli pwdr                       - 1 tbsp
  8. Coriander pwdr                 - 1.1/2 tsp
  9. Curry leaves few
  10. Salt to taste

Method :

Soak the Dry fish in water for half hour

Take all the Ingredients

Heat oil in Pan
Crackle mustard seeds, curry leaves and garlic saute for 1 min.
Then add onion saute it for 2min till its turn brown in colour


 Add all the spice powders and mix it well



 Saute it for 2mins



 Add Tomatoes saute it for 1 min



 Add little water and salt



 Add dry fish  ,fry for 1min



 Add Little 1/2 cup water and cover it





Dry fish is ready

                                                   Serve it Hot
