Green Masala fish fry recipe :

Delicious green masala fish fry......

Prep Time : 20 mins
Green Masala fish fry
Marination Time : 1 hour and 30 mins.
Cooking Time : 10 mins
Cuisine : South Indian

Ingredients :

  1. Fish - 1/2 kg ( Use any kind of fish )
  2. Mint Leaves - 1/2 cup
  3. Coriander leaves - 1/2 cup
  4. Green chilly - 3 
  5. Garlic cloves - 3 
  6. Ginger - 1 small piece 
  7. Tomato - 1 small size
  8. Onion - 1 medium size
  9. Chilly powder - 1 tbsp
  10. Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
  11. Curry leaves - 1 small bunch 
  12. Oil as required
  13. Salt to taste

Masala paste :

  1. Mint Leaves - 1/2 cup
  2. Coriander leaves - 1/2 cup
  3. Green chilly - 3 
  4. Garlic cloves - 3 
  5. Ginger - 1 small piece 
  6. Tomato - 1 small size
  7. Onion - 1 medium size
  8. In a blender, grind everything and make a coarse paste.
  9. In between sprinkle some water.( Don't add water while grinding )

For coating :

  1. Chilly powder - 1 tbsp
  2. Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
  3. Salt to taste
  4. Adjust the spice and salt according to your taste.

Method :

  1. Coat the fish with red chilly power, turmeric powder and salt.mix it well
  2. Keep the coated fish in refrigerator for 1 hour.
  3. After one hour ,In a blender, grind the masala paste.
  4. Apply the masala paste to the coated fish.
  5. Rest it for 30 mins.
  6. Heat 3 tbsp oil in a kadai, put the curry leaves one by one.
  7. Now fry the fish on both sides until golden brown.
  8. If deep frying,heat enough oil in a deep skillet and fry on medium heat until golden brown on both sides.
  9. Serve hot with rice.
