Ingredients :

  1. Fresh Coconut - 1 cup
  2. Green chilly - 1
  3. Roasted chana dal / Pottukadalai / bengal gram -  1/4 cup 
  4. Curry leaves - 10 - 15
  5. Ginger - 1 small piece
  6. Oil - 1 tsp
  7. Sal to taste

Method :

  1. Wash and rinse the curry leaves and dry them.
  2. First heat oil in a pan, add the curry leaves.fry them till become crispy.
  3. It took 1 min,cook in medium flame.
  4. Let the curry leaves mixture become warm.
  5. In a blender, put all the ingredients and grind them with little water. ( depends on what consistency of chutney you want)
  6. Serve hotel style coconut chutney with idly, dosa or medu vada.
