Ponnanganni Keerai Masiyal :

Ponnanganni keerai masiyal recipe....


Ingredients :

  1. Ponnanganni Keerai - 2 bunches
  2. Tamarind - 1 lemon size
  3. Salt to taste

To Temper :

  1. Oil - 2 tbsp
  2. Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
  3. Urad dal - 1/2 tsp
  4. Onion - 2 
  5. Red chilly - 10 

Method :


  1. Clean and wash the spinach at-least 2 times.
  2. Heat 2 glass of water in kadai,add the keerai in it..
  3. Cover with a lid and cook for 10 - 15 mins till 80% of water absorb.
  4. Now remove from the heat and let them cool down.
  5. In a blender, filter the water and add the spinach, tamarind salt and grind it.
  6. Heat oil in a kadai, add mustard seeds once its splutter add the urad dal and red chilies, saute it for a min.
  7. Then add the chopped onions, fry till turns golden.
  8. Turn off the flame and put the tempered items to the spinach and mix it well.
  9. Healthy and tasty Keerai masiyal is ready to serve.
