Easy and quick rava upma....

Basic Upma Recipe
Cooking Time: 15 mins
Ingredients:
- Rava /Semolina/Sooji - 1 cup
- Onion - 1 sliced
- Green chilly - 1
- Ginger - 1 inch finely chopped
- Mustard seeeds - 1/2 tsp
- Oil - 2 tsp
- Ghee - 2 tsp
- Few curry leaves
- Salt to taste
- Water - 2 cups
Method:
- Dry roast the rava in medium flame for 5 - 7 mins.
- Finely chop the onions, ginger and green chilies.
- Heat oil and ghee in tawa add mustard seeds when its splutter add few curry leaves.
- Now add the onions and green chilies, saute till translucent color.
- Then add 2 cups of water and salt needed.
- When the water starts boiling, reduce the flame in low, add rava slowly in one hand and keep stirring in another hand.
- Once the rava absorb all the water cover and cook on low flame for 5 - 7 mins and stir in-between.
- Once uoma cooked turn off the flame.
- Rava upma is ready to serve.
