Easy and tasty tomato thokku....

Tomato Thokku - Version : 2
Cooking Time : 20 - 25 mins
Ingredients:
- Tomato - 10
- Kuzhambu chilly powder - 1 tbsp
- Red chilly powder - 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric powder - a pinch
- Fennel seeds - 1 tsp
- Oil - 1 tbsp
- Mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp
- Asafoetida / hing - a pinch
- Few curry leaves
- Salt to taste
Method :
- Wash and cut the tomatoes into 2 - 4 pieces for grinding. In blender, blend the tomato into semi fine paste.
- Heat oil in a kadai, mustard seeds once its splutter add fennel seeds, asofoetida, a pinch of turmeric powder and curry leaves.
- Add the tomato puree and increase the flame to medium and cook for 5 - 7 mins.
- Now add the red chilly powder, Kuzhambu chilly powder and salt stir it once and allow to boil.
- When its start bubbling s keep the flame low and cover the pan with lid , let it cook for 25 - 20 mins to get thokku consistency.
- Cook till oil oozes out from the thokku and turn off the flame.
- Serve it with Idly, dosa or chapati.
