Nandu Pepper Curry Recipe

Ingredients :
- Crab / Nandu - 1/2 kg
- Oil - 3 tbsp
- Few curry leaves
- Kuzhambu milagai powder - 3 tbsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
- Pepper powder - 1 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Few coriander leaves
For Grinding
- Tomato - 3 medium size
- Shallots - 20 - 25
- Pepper corns - 2 tbsp
- Jeera / Cumin seeds - 2 tbsp
- Garlic - 5 - 8
Method :
- Clean and wash the crab and set aside.
- In a blender, add tomatoes, shallots, pepper corns, jeera seeds and garlic cloves, grind it with 1/4 cup of water in a coarse paste.
- Heat oil in a kadai, add curry leaves and masala paste, mix it well.
- Cover and cook the masala paste 3 - 5 mins.
- Now open the lid, saute well the masala paste and add 1 1/2 cups of water, kuzhambu milagai powder, turmeric powder and salt.mix it well.
- Half cover the lid and cook the masla paste till oil separates. It too 10 - 15 mins.
- Now add the clean and washed crab, mix it well in masala paste.
- Cook for another 10 mins.
- Finally add the pepper powders and chopped coriander leaves, mix it well and turn off the flame.
- Serve with rice.
