Ingredients:
- Chicken - 1 cup ( cut into medium sized pieces)
- Onion -2
- Tomato - 1
- Ginger garlic paste - 1tsp
- Green chilly - 8 to 9 pcs
- Chilli powder - 1/2tsp
- Corionder powder - 1 tsp
- Pepper Powder - 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric - 1/4 tsp
- Mustard seeds - 1tsp
- Oil - 3 tsp or coconut oil -3tsp
- Few curry leaves
- Salt to taste
Method:
Take all the Ingredients |
Take the Chicken |
Marinate the chicken with chilly powder,turmeric powder, ginger garlic paste and some salt. Coat the masala on all the sides of chicken |
Marinate for atleast 30 min.set aside |
Heat oil in a pan , add the marinate chicken |
Turn both sides , cook in medium flame |
Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, curry leaves and onions fry it well |
Then add ginger garlic paste and green chilies , saute it well |
Add little chilly powder and coriander powder saute it for 30 sec |
Add tomatoes and some salt saute it well and cover it |
Now add the pepper powder saute it well |
Now add the shallow fried chicken, mix it well for 3min |
Spicy chicken Varattiyathu is ready to serve |
