Vazhaipoo Vadai....
Ingredients:
- Vazhaipoo / Banana flower - 1 cups ( Clean & chopped)
- Channa dal / Kadala Paruppu - 3/4 cup
- Murangai Keerai / Drumstick leaves - 1 cup
- Shallots - 25 to 20 or Onions - 4 Finely chopped
- Green chilly - 3 finely chopped
- Garlic - 10 cloves - finely chopped
- Ginger - 1 small piece
- Fennel seeds / sombu - 1tsp
- Few curry leaves
- Few coriander leaves
- Salt to taste
For Grinding :
- Soak the channa dal for 1 hour
- In a Blender, add Channa dal , fennel seeds & salt
- Grind in coarse paste
Note :
Method:
- Mix all the ingredients in the bowl
- Mix it well to form a dough consistency.
- Heat oil in kadai
- Shape the vada
- Drop the vada one by one in hot oil
- Cook both sides till turns brown in color
- Serve hot.
