Vegetables Stuffed Chilli Bajji / Milagai / Mirchi Bajji :

Stuffed Milagai bajji.....


Ingredients :

  1. Bajji Milagai / Mirchi - 4
  2. Besan / Gram Flour - 1/2 cup 
  3. Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp (optional)
  4. Rice flour - 2 tsp
  5. Asafoetida / Hing - 1 pinch
  6. Oil for Deep Frying

For Stuffing :

  1. Onion - 1 finely chopped
  2. Ginger - 1/2 pc finely chopped
  3. Green chilly - 1 finely chopped (Optional)
  4. Jeera - 1 tsp
  5. Carrot, Beans - 1/2 cup
  6. Boiled and smashed potato - 1/2 cup
  7. Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
  8. Red chilli powder - !/2 tsp
  9. Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
  10. Amchur / Dry mango powder - 1 pinch
  11. Salt to taste

Method :

  1. wash the chilies and slit them in the center length wise, de seed and set aside
  2. In a Bowl,mix the flour, red chilly powder, hing and salt
  3. Add little by little water to get the right consistency
  4. Once finish mixing , just whisk it 2 or 3 times well. set aside
  5. Heat oil in a pan, add jeera , ginger and green chilly saute it well
  6. Then add onion, carrot ,beans , saute it for 5 to 7 min in medium flame
  7. Cover with the lid, don't use water
  8. Add the masala powders mix it well
  9. Saute it for a min
  10. Then add the smashed potatoes and saute it for 2 min.
  11. Turn off the flame and keep it aside
  12. Now with the help of spoon stuff the vegetable masala in the chillies
  13. Dip the Stuffed Milagai into the batter
  14. Deep fry it in hot oil 
  15. Cook the bajji , until it attains nice brown color on both sides
  16. Delicious Milagai Bajji is ready
