Stuffed Milagai bajji.....
Ingredients :
- Bajji Milagai / Mirchi - 4
- Besan / Gram Flour - 1/2 cup
- Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp (optional)
- Rice flour - 2 tsp
- Asafoetida / Hing - 1 pinch
- Oil for Deep Frying
For Stuffing :
- Onion - 1 finely chopped
- Ginger - 1/2 pc finely chopped
- Green chilly - 1 finely chopped (Optional)
- Jeera - 1 tsp
- Carrot, Beans - 1/2 cup
- Boiled and smashed potato - 1/2 cup
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
- Red chilli powder - !/2 tsp
- Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
- Amchur / Dry mango powder - 1 pinch
- Salt to taste
Method :
- wash the chilies and slit them in the center length wise, de seed and set aside
- In a Bowl,mix the flour, red chilly powder, hing and salt
- Add little by little water to get the right consistency
- Once finish mixing , just whisk it 2 or 3 times well. set aside
- Heat oil in a pan, add jeera , ginger and green chilly saute it well
- Then add onion, carrot ,beans , saute it for 5 to 7 min in medium flame
- Cover with the lid, don't use water
- Add the masala powders mix it well
- Saute it for a min
- Then add the smashed potatoes and saute it for 2 min.
- Turn off the flame and keep it aside
- Now with the help of spoon stuff the vegetable masala in the chillies
- Dip the Stuffed Milagai into the batter
- Deep fry it in hot oil
- Cook the bajji , until it attains nice brown color on both sides
- Delicious Milagai Bajji is ready
