Garlic Podi - side dish for Idly / dosa....

Garlic Podi - Pundu Podi Recipe

Ingredients:
- Garlic cloves - 1 cup
- Coriander seeds - 2 tbsp
- Toor dal - 3/4 cup
- Urad dal - 1/2 cup
- Red chilly - 8 - 10
- Cumin seeds - 1 tbsp
- Asafoetida / Hing - 1/4 tsp
- Oil - 2 tsp
- Salt - 1 tsp
Method:
- Take all your ingredients.
- Peel the skin and crush the garlic nicely and set aside.
- Heat 2 tsp oil in a pan, roast the crushed garlic in medium flame till it turns brown color.And remove from the flame and set aside.
- Dry roast the urad dal for few mins and add toor dal, coriander seeds, cumin seeds and red chilies roast it for few mins and transfer to the plate.
- Finally add the hing and cool down the mixture.
- In a blender, put all the mixture with enough salt and make a semi fine powder or fine powder or coarse powder.
- Store it an air tight container.
- Serve with idly / dosa.
