“Kadambam” means mixture. This Kadamba Chutney can be prepared with different combinations of many ingredients.Simple and tasty side dish(Indian dip)for Idly and dosa.

Kadamba Chutney - Mixed Chutney Recipe

Ingredients:
- Small Onion / shallots - 15 - 20
- Coconut - 1/2 cup
- Channa dal / Kadalai Paruppu - 1 tbsp
- Tomato - 2
- Garlic cloves - 2
- Ginger - 1 small pc
- Green chilly - 2
- Red chilly - 2
- Coriander leaves - one hand ful
- Curry leaves - one hand ful
- Oil - 2 tsp
- Salt to taste
To Temper:
- Oil - 2 tsp
- Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Urad dal - 1/4 tsp
- Asafoetida/ Hing - a pinch
- Few curry leaves
Method:
- Take all your ingredients.
- Heat oil in a pan, roast the channa dal for few seconds, then add all the ingredients one by one and saute it well till all cooked.
- Cool down the mixture completely.
- In a blender, put all the mixture with some salt.grind it with little water.
- Heat oil in a pan, add the mustard seeds, once its splutter add the urad dal, asofoetida and curry leaves.transfer it the chutney and mix it well.
- Serve with Idly / dosa.
