Rava Upma Recipe - How to make Basic Upma - Quick Breakfast recipe :

Easy and quick rava upma....

Basic Upma Recipe 
Cooking Time: 15 mins
Cuisine: South Indian

Ingredients:

  1. Rava /Semolina/Sooji - 1 cup
  2. Onion - 1 sliced
  3. Green chilly - 1 
  4. Ginger - 1 inch finely chopped
  5. Mustard seeeds - 1/2 tsp
  6. Oil - 2 tsp 
  7. Ghee - 2 tsp
  8. Few curry leaves 
  9. Salt to taste 
  10. Water - 2 cups

Method:

  1.  Dry roast the rava in medium flame for 5 - 7 mins.
  2. Finely chop the onions, ginger and green chilies.
  3. Heat oil and ghee in tawa add mustard seeds when its splutter add few curry leaves.
  4. Now add the onions and green chilies, saute till translucent color.
  5. Then add 2 cups of water and salt needed.
  6. When the water starts boiling, reduce the flame in low, add rava slowly in one hand and keep stirring in another hand.
  7. Once the rava absorb all the water cover and cook on low flame for 5 - 7 mins and stir in-between.
  8. Once uoma cooked turn off the flame.
  9. Rava upma is ready to serve.
