Pot Mushroom Biryani Recipe/ How to make Biryani in Pot:

Delicious Pot Mushroom Biryani

Ingredients:


  1. Mushroom - 2cups
  2. Rice / Biryani rice/ Seeraga samba rice / Basmathi rice - 1cup ( Soak the rice for 15 - 20 min)
  3. Onion - 2 finely chopped 
  4. Tomatoes - 2 to 3 Finely chopped 
  5. Mint & Coriander leaves - 1 cup
  6. Ginger garlic paste - 2tsp
  7. Green chilly paste - 2tsp 
  8. or
  9. Green chilly - 4 finely chopped
  10. Fennel seeds - 1tsp
  11. Cumin Seeds - 1tsp
  12. Biryani masala powder - 1tsp
  13. Gram masala powder - 1/4 tsp
  14. Corionder powder - 1/4 tsp
  15. Cinnamon - 2
  16. Cloves - 3
  17. Star anise - 1
  18. Bay leaf - 2
  19. Cardamom / Ellakai  - 2
  20. Ghee - 1 tsp
  21. Oil - 3 tsp


Rice Measurement :

  1. Normal Rice - 1 cup 
         Soak the rice for 15 - 20 min add 1 1/2 cup f water for 1 cup of Rice

     2. Seeraga Samba Rice - 1 cup
         Soak the rice for 5 min , add 1 3/4 cup of water for 1 cup of rice
   
     3. Basmati Rice - 1 cup

         Soak the rice for 15 min, add 1.5 cups of water for 1 cup of rice

Method:

Take all the Ingredients

Heat oil and ghee in pot . ( Cook in medium flame)

Add the cinnamon, fennel seeds, cumin seeds, star anise and bay leaf saute it for a min

Add the onions saute it well

Then add ginger garlic paste and green chilly paste

Saute till raw smell goes

Add the tomatoes , saute till mushy 

Add the spice powders , fry it for 30 sec

Add the chopped mint & coriander leaves

Saute till oil separates

Add the mushroom, don't saute more than 1 min

Add 1 1/2 cup of water and 1 cup of rice

Add salt 

Cover with a lid for 5min

Open the lid and stir gently

Stir the rice for every 5 mins

It will take around 10 - 15 mins to cook. 

Yummy Pot biryani is ready to serve
