Mutton Drumstick Kuzhambu |
Ingredients:
- Mutton - 1/2 kg
- Shallots - 15 - 20 pcs or Big Onions - 2 finely chopped
- Tomato - 3 Finely chopped
- Drumstick - 2
- Potato - 2
- Mutton Kuzhambu powder - 3 tsp
- Homemade Kuzhambu Powder - 2 tsp
- OR
- ( Coriander powder, Red chilly powder - each 2 tsp, Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp)
- Ginger Garlic paste - 2 tsp
- Green Chilly - 2
- Cinnamon - 1
- Cloves - 2
- Star anise - 1
- Oil - 3 tsp
- Few curry leaves
- Few Coriander leaves
- Salt to taste
For Coconut Paste :
- Coconut - 1/2 cup
- Fennel seeds - 1 tsp
- Water for grinding
Method:
Take all the Ingredients |
In a Blender, grind the coconut to a smooth paste |

Heat oil in a kadai, add cinnamon, cloves and star anise |
Add the ginger garlic paste saute it for 30 sec |
Add the onions, green chilies and curry leaves, saute it for 2 min |
Add the tomatoes |
Fry till it turns mushy |
Add the drumstick and potatoes ( I forgot to add the potatoes) |
Add the spice powders |
Mix it well |
Add the coconut paste |
Saute it for a min |
Cook the mutton with turmeric powder, 1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste and some salt |
Transfer the curry to the mutton kadai and add 1 cup of water and salt |
Cook the curries for 15 - 20 mins |
Delicious Mutton Drumstick Kuzhambu is ready |
Serve with hot Idlies |
