Easy and tasty South Indian Radish sambar .....
Ingredients:
- Radish / Mullangi - 1 cup
- Onion - 2 Finely chopped
- Tomato - 1 Finely chopped
- Red chilly - 2
- Green chilly - 2
- Toor dal - 1 cup
- Tamarind paste - 3 tsp
- Sambar Powder - 3 tsp
- Turmeic Powder - 1/4 tsp
- Jeera / cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Mustard seeds / Urad dal - 1 tsp
- Hing / Asafoetida - 1 pinch
- Oil - 2tsp
- Salt to taste
- Few curry leaves
- Few coriander leaves
Method :
Take all the Ingredients |
Heat oil in a kadai, add mustard seeds, urad dal, jeera chilies and curry leaves |
Then add onion & tomato saute it for 2 min |
Add radish & turmeric powder , saute it for a min |
Add cooked toor dal and 1 cup of water |
Add sambar powder , tamarind pulp and salt , let boil for 10 - 15 min |
Finally add chopped coriander leaves |
Serve with hot rice |
