A simple chutney made with mint and tomatoes well goes with idly or dosa.

Tomato Mint chutney / Thakkali Pudhina chutney recipe
Cooking time : 10 mins
Ingredients :
- Shallots - 10 - 15
- Green chilly - 2 - 3
- Tomato - 2 (medium size)
- Mint leaves - 1 cup
- Salt to Taste
- Oil - 1 tsp
Method :
- Heat oil in a pan, add the shallots saute till turn lit brown color.
- Then add the rec chilies, saute it for min. (Adjust spice level depending on your taste).
- Add the chopped tomatoes, cover and cook for 5 - 7 mins.
- Once tomatoes cooked, add the mint leaves and turn off the flame.
- Then saute the mint leaves.
- Let it cool downs completely.
- In a blender, grind everything with salt and little water.
- Serve with idly or dosa.
