Easy and tasty vadagam onion chutney..It well goes with idly and dosa...Let's see step by step pictures....

Vadagam Onion Chutney
Cooking Time : 10 mins
Ingredients :
- Vadagam - 1 tsp
- Small onions - 15 - 20
- Red chilly - 2
- Tamarind paste - 1/2 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil - 1 tsp

Note :
- Don't add too much vadagam, it will give bitter taste.
Method :
- I used homemade vadagam, you can buy it in any super market.
- Heat oil in a pan, add vadagam and fry for a min in low flame.
- Then add red chilies, saute it for few sec.
- Now add the small onions, saute it till golden brown.
- Add tamarind and fry for another 1 min and turn off the flame.
- Cool down completely and grind it with salt and little water to a semi paste.
- Serve with Idly / Dosa. while serving you can also add gingelly oil.....
