Radish Sambar / Mullangi Sambar Recipe:

Easy and tasty South Indian Radish sambar .....


Ingredients:

  1. Radish / Mullangi - 1 cup
  2. Onion - 2 Finely chopped
  3. Tomato - 1 Finely chopped
  4. Red chilly - 2 
  5. Green chilly - 2
  6. Toor dal - 1 cup
  7. Tamarind paste - 3 tsp
  8. Sambar Powder - 3 tsp
  9. Turmeic Powder - 1/4 tsp
  10. Jeera / cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
  11. Mustard seeds / Urad dal - 1 tsp
  12. Hing / Asafoetida - 1 pinch
  13. Oil - 2tsp
  14. Salt to taste
  15. Few curry leaves
  16. Few coriander leaves


Method :

Take all the Ingredients

Heat oil in a kadai, add mustard seeds, urad dal, jeera chilies and curry leaves

Then add onion & tomato saute it for 2 min

Add radish & turmeric powder , saute it for a min

Add cooked toor dal and 1 cup of water 

Add sambar powder , tamarind pulp and salt , let boil for  10 - 15 min

Finally add chopped coriander leaves 

Serve with hot rice
