Green Chilly Chutney Recipe :

Spicy and tangy green chilly chutney.....

Ingredients :

  1. Green chilly - 10 - 15 (Adjust spice level according to your taste )
  2. Garlic cloves - 4 - 5
  3. Shallots - 10 - 12
  4. Tomato - 1 medium size
  5. Tamarind paste - 1 tsp
  6. Salt to taste 
  7. Oil - 2 tsp

Method :

  1. Heat oil in a pan, add the green chilies saute until color change and remove it from the flame.
  2. Then saute the garlic saute till light brown color and remove it from the flame.
  3. Add the shallots saute till translucent color and remove it from the flame.
  4. Finally saute the tomatoes till turns mushy and remove it from the flame.
  5. Don't saute all the ingredients together, saute everything separately.
  6. Let cool down completely.
  7. In a blender, transfer all the mixture add tamarind and salt.
  8. Grind it in a coarse paste. this chutney should be in coarse consistency, don't grind it into a smooth taste.
  9. Serve the chutney with idly/ dosa
