Carrot Beans Poriyal recipe :

Carrot beans poriyal is a south Indian preparation of the a stir fried vegetables...


Ingredients :

  1. Carrot, beans - 1 cup
  2. Onion - 1 finely chopped
  3. Green chilly - 1 finely chopped
  4. Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
  5. Urad dal - 1/2 tsp
  6. Oil - 1 tsp
  7. Few curry leaves 
  8. Salt to taste

Method :

  1. Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, urad dal,curry leaves and let it splutter.
  2. Now add the onion and saute it till it is slightly brown
  3. Then add the carrot, beans and required salt. Saute it for 2 mins
  4. Then add little water and cook covered till it turns soft and raw smell goes
  5. Cook in low medium flame till moisture is absorbed
  6. Finally give a saute and switch off.
