Spicy Chettinad mushroom Kuzhambu.....Tried this curry with own blend chettinad spices...

Ingredients :
- Mushroom - 1 cup
- Onion - 2 Sliced
- Tomato - 2 Chopped
- Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Urad dal - 1/2 tsp
- Few curry leaves
- Few coriander leaves
- Salt to taste
- Oil as required
To Roast and Grind :
- Grated coconut - 1 cup
- Cloves - 3
- Cinnamon / Pattai - 2 pcs
- Coriander seeds - 1 tsp
- Cardamom / Ellakai - 2
To Grind :
- Ginger - 2 small pc
- Garlic - 8 cloves
- Sesame seeds - 2 tsp
- Cashew - 8 pcs or poppy seeds - 1tsp
Soak and Grind :
- Soak sesame seeds in water for 5 min
- Soak or boil red chilly in water and grind. It will give thick red color
Method:
- Clean the mushroom and cut them into pieces and keep aside
- Dry roast each ingredient ( Cinnamon stick,cloves, coriander seeds, coconut and cardamon) in medium flame.
- Combine all the dry roasted items with ginger, garlic, red chilly paste, cashew and sesame seeds and grind to make a fine paste and keep aside
- Now heat oil in kadai, add mustard seeds, urad dal and curry leaves, once its splutter add onions saute foe few min
- Then add tomatoes , cover and cook for 2 to 3 min , then add some salt
- Now add the ground masala , keep frying till the masala turns golden brown.
- Then add the mushroom and 1 cup of water and salt. cook in medium flame
- Let it boil for 15 - 20 min till oil separates
- And switch off the flame and garnish with coriander leaves
- Serve hot with tiffen
