This is very simple and flavorful rice...Let's see step by step pictures.....
2.Add little water for grinding and make a puree.
4.Now add the mint puree, cook for 5 to 7 mins.
5. Don't cook for more than 7 to 8 mins.
6.Add the turmeric powder and salt and mix it well.
7. Slim the flame.
8.Add the cooked rice into the mint paste and mix it well.
9.In medium flame , cook the rice for another 2 mins and Turn off the flame.
Ingredients :
- Mint - 1 cup
- Cooked rice - 1 cup
- Green chilly - 2 or 3
- Tamarind paste - 1 tbsp
- Turmeric powder - a pinch
- Salt to taste
For temper :
- Oil - 2 tbsp
- Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Urad dal - 1/2 tsp
- Jeera / Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Few curry leaves
Method :
- Wash mint leaves.
- In blender, add the mind leaves, green chilies add tamarind paste.
- Add little water for grinding and make a puree.
- Heat oil in a kadai, add the mustard seeds once its splutter add the urad dal, cumin seeds and curry leaves.
- Now add the mint puree, cook for 5 to 7 mins.
- Don't cook for more than 7 to 8 mins.
- Add the turmeric powder and salt and mix it well.
- Slim the flame.
- Add the cooked rice into the mint paste and mix it well.
- In medium flame , cook the rice for another 2 mins.
- Turn off the flame.
- Serve hot.
