Andhra Recipes Dumbala Karam / Potato Fry :

Dumbala karam....Its goes well with sambar rice , rasam rice and curd rice...



Ingredients: 

  1. Baby potatoes - 10 - 15 
  2. Chilly powder - 2 tsp
  3. Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
  4. Rice flour - 1  tsp
  5. Gram flour - 1 1/2 tsp
  6. Lemon - 10 - 15 drops
  7. Ginger garlic paste 
  8. Green chilly - 1 finely chopped
  9. Few curry leaves - finely chopped
  10. Salt to taste

To Fry :

  1. Oil - 2 tsp
  2. Onion - 1 sliced
  3. Green chilly - 1 finely chopped

Method:

  1. Take baby potatoes peel off the skin
  2. In boil water add the baby potatoes, boil for 5 to 7 min 
  3. Now filter the potato in water add ginger garlic paste,green chilies, curry leaves turmeric powder, chilly powder, rice flour, gram flour ,salt and sprinkle some water and mix it well.
  4. Finally add the lemon juice and mix it well once again
  5. Heat oil in kadai, now add the marinated potatoes in oil , fry till it becomes brown in color
  6. Now fry the onion and green chilly in pan and add into the potatoes
  7. Toss it well
  8. Serve it hot
