Channa / Kondakadalai biryani is nutritious and a healthy food.....

Ingredients:
- Black channa - 2 cups
- Potato - 3 Optional
- Onion - 2 Sliced
- Tomato - 2 Chopped
- Biryani masala - 2 tsp
- Chilli powder - 1 tsp
- Bay leaf - 2
- Oil - 3tsp
- Ghee - 1tsp
- Salt to taste
To Grind:
Rice Measurement :
- Normal Rice - 1 cup Soak the rice for 15 - 20 min add 1 1/2 cup f water for 1 cup of Rice.
2. Seeraga Samba Rice - 1 cup
Soak the rice for 5 min , add 1 3/4 cup of water for 1 cup of rice.
3. Basmati Rice - 1 cup
Soak the rice for 15 min, add 1.5 cups of water for 1 cup of rice.
- Normal Rice - 1 cup Soak the rice for 15 - 20 min add 1 1/2 cup f water for 1 cup of Rice.
Method:
- Soak the channa overnight. boil with little water in next day & drain it.
- Heat oil & ghee in pressure cooker
- Add bay leaf & onion saute it well
- Then add tomatoes fry it turns mushy & add biryani masala powder
- Then add the grind paste saute it well till oil separates
- Now add the potato & boiled channa mix it well
- Now add 1 1/2cup water for 1 cup rice
- Then add rice and salt then mix it well
- Cover the pressure cooker and cook it for 2 whistle
