Garlic pickle is very simple pickle which can be prepared quickly...Indian meal is almost incomplete without pickles on the side. It is one of the easiest pickle to make.This pickle nicely goes with Curd rice and Sambar rice.Let's see step by step pictures...
Spicy Garlic Pickle |
Ingredients:
- Garlic Cloves -1 cup
- Tamarind paste - 5 to 6 tsp
- Red chilly - 5 to 6
- Red chilly powder - 3 tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
- Asafoetida - 1/4 tsp
- Few curry leaves
- Salt to taste
- Oil - 4 tsp
For Roast and Grind:( Use this powder for all kind of pickles)
- Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
- Fenugreek seeds - 1tsp
- Dry Roast the seeds and grind it.
Method:
Take all the Ingredients |
Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, red chilies and curry leaves |
Add the Garlic cloves and saute it for few min |
Add the turmeric powder |
Add tamarind paste and salt , saute it till water absorb |
Add the Red chilly powder and turn off the flame and mix it well |
Finally add the roasted powder and mix it well |
Spicy Garlic Pickle is ready to serve |
