Onion Pickle:

Onion Pickle...


Ingredients:


  1. Small onion - 10 - 15 pcs
  2. Tamarind paste - 5 to 6 tsp
  3. Red chilly - 5 to 6
  4. Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
  5. Asafoetida - 1/4 tsp
  6. Few curry leaves
  7. Salt to taste
  8. Oil - 4 tsp

For Roast & Grinding : ( Use this powder for all kind of pickles)


  1. Mustard seeds                      - 1tsp
  2. Fenugreek / Vendhayam seeds- 1/2 tsp
  3. Dry Roast the seeds and grind it.

Method:

Take all the Ingredients

Heat oil in pan , add mustard seeds, curry leaves and red chilly saute it for 30 sec

Add onion saute it for 3 to 5 min

Then add Tamarind paste and turmeric powder, don't add water 

When the tamarind pulp absorb, add  the salt 

Turn off the flame, add chilly powder and roasted powder mix it well

Onion Pickle is ready to serve
