Onion Pickle...
Ingredients:
- Small onion - 10 - 15 pcs
- Tamarind paste - 5 to 6 tsp
- Red chilly - 5 to 6
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
- Asafoetida - 1/4 tsp
- Few curry leaves
- Salt to taste
- Oil - 4 tsp
For Roast & Grinding : ( Use this powder for all kind of pickles)
- Mustard seeds - 1tsp
- Fenugreek / Vendhayam seeds- 1/2 tsp
- Dry Roast the seeds and grind it.
- Mustard seeds - 1tsp
- Fenugreek / Vendhayam seeds- 1/2 tsp
- Dry Roast the seeds and grind it.
Method:
Take all the Ingredients |
Heat oil in pan , add mustard seeds, curry leaves and red chilly saute it for 30 sec |
Add onion saute it for 3 to 5 min |
Then add Tamarind paste and turmeric powder, don't add water |
When the tamarind pulp absorb, add the salt |
Turn off the flame, add chilly powder and roasted powder mix it well |
Onion Pickle is ready to serve |
